my base map was set up for 450's, hence why it ran great and got decent gas mileage

dumb question but do you have your rev-limit set to 5500? Do you have launch control set at 5500? Does your speedo work?

he does not have a chipped ecu he is running stock ecu

well if that is the case then you may have found the problem.

The injectors will not fry the computer in seconds most likely. The larger draw will hurt the ECU over time more than likely.
