i did a search and couldnt find an aswer so any help would be greatly appreciated..
My question is if the 16g dsm turbo is internally gated? just need to know so i know what to get as for a manifold.

Yes its internally gated. small 16g, big 16g, big evoIII 16g and the EvoVIII 16g are all internal.

awsom thats the answer i needed.... also is there any way to adjust the psi and what is it set to? Is it possible to change it to an external w/g?

yes u can convert to external wg. pretty simple, jus buy the dp flange that blocks the wg hole and get a mani with external wg flange on it.. or u can do what some people do, i kno some people who run there external wg in the location of the internal wg dump, heard it works pretty well. stock psi depends what car exactly it came from, could be anywhere from 7 to 14psi. u can turn it up with a boost controler.

I'm running an external audi gate off the top of my HF manifold. I just removed the internal gates vacuum source and its all working fine.

works but looks cluttered. n the wg could still possibly open

Why does it look cluttered? Its all hidden behind filter and turbo.

So far with the ebc I'm holding steady boost without issue on the external. I'll probably get around to blocking off the internal port at some point when i get around to porting the turbo. Plus when i was using a manual controller before, i could just use a free solenoid to run 2 boost levels(interal = low boost, and external = high boost.... all on one switch)... so its kinda nice.

16g internal gate set at 12 psi.
