Default drove the car hard for about 15-20 minutes, maybe overheating?.....

I went for a short drive around town and did around 6 wide open throttle runs til I was doing 80 mph then I would slow down. Cruised at legit speed after each run for maybe a minute or two. When I turned into my block I noticed the temperature gauge slowly rising from just below the midle to between the middle and all the to the top almost reaching 3/4 of the temp gauge while moving higher. Then while I was rolling slowly (speed bumps-community) it moved back to just a notch below halfway. Is this normal?
Seemed kina weird I've never noticed this before.

It's a little normal for your car to do that since it is running at a slightly higher temp. Good thing the temp came back down to normal level. Still take that **** advice and check your coolant etc.
