driving car without exuast
can i drive my 99 civic ex with just the header on it.. reason is i cut my down pipe in half so i can mount my downpipe to it but the turbo was fucked up.. so im going to be running my car stock until i have enough money for a new turbo..about a week or so... i wont be driving my car very far probly about 50 miles at the most a day for a week or so... its really ------- loud ..louder then my turbo without an exaust..and i can hear it kinda backfire. i read it heats up ur valve or something if u dont have backpressure ..so will it be ok to drive it like this for a week or so without engine damage other then getting carbonmonixide inside my car and stuff?

ive been driving it like this today and lastnight and my cel went on this morning but not lastnight... is it my sensor in my exaust since its not hooked up?? people look at me crazy. lol
if you ran no header you would get burnt valves, but open header should be fine. I ran open for about a week until I almost went deaf. then open dp was a little quieter, but 3" exhaust ownes it all.
i ran open dp couple of times and it sucks *****!it smells like crap and cops will be looking at u,and i heard its a BIG EPA fine upwards of 10k,but thats what i heard, and disconnect ur battery so u can turn off ur CEL,do it when ever it comes on
