Default Downpipe for d series

I am turboing my d series and need to know what is involved in making a downpipe. I got a firend who can weld, but what is the process to making the downpipe?

flange that bolts to turbo.. weld mandrel pipes that go down and then make a shot towards the cat pipe. It's a little annoying getting lined up good, but all is well.. you'll see soon

yeah downpipes are really easy.. just use the biggest piping you can fit. Remember bigger is better.

i could be wrong, but i thought if your exhaust gets too big, i can hinder performance

No man your wrong.. Ideally in a turbo setup you want zero back pressure. the perfect setup is no exhaust at all. So we try to make it as large as possible to help the turbo perform well.
