Default dont really want piston slap with vitaras?

so im going to do a vitara build on my d16y7. im curently boosted at 12psi the homemade turbo way. boost is like a drug need more!!!

my question is the stock bore 75mm vitara pistons, ive herd will give me piston slap? correct me if im wrong.

if i did 75.5mm pistons, is it posible to hone the shat out of it? if so, dose anyone have a piston to cyclinder wall clearance spec??

you mean like honing out your 75mm bore sleeves to 75.5 on your own? Take it to a machine shop and have them bore & hone it to your specs

dont forget to take your pistons to the shop too.. 75.5mm isn't as accurate as inch measurement...

stock sleeves area already pretty thin, I would bore them any. you could keep you're 75mm bore and the 75mm vitara's and have the piston skirts knurled, ask you're machine shop about it.

I just ended up putting them in there was like a .006 piston/wall clearance, the machine shop I go to didnt have a knurling tool small enough for my pistons. Supprisingly they dont even slap all that bad, in the cooler months I drive it I can hear it slapping for maybe 2-3 mins after startup but after that its gone.

there was a topic on this before saying that piston slap is better if your looking for around 400hp because of expansion. i'll try and look for it in a bit if i get bored
