does it matter where you put your bov?

I have a 2G DSm bov and it looks really crappy because I had to plastic jb weld a vacum nozzle back on, and it just looks like but, anyways, can i mount it before the intercooler, or does it have to be after? And if after, anywhere I want to put it after?
thanks

Yeah you can mount it anywhere. maybe you can mount it on a lower charge pipe so it's outta view, but you gotta remember son... This is HMT. Ghettostyle! no one here cares what it looks like ;)

the further away from the TB you mount it, the shittier your throttle response is gonna be.

according to corky bell's "maximum boost", the closer it is to the Throttle body, as stargazer said, the better your throttle response is, but it's also harder on your turbo due to the response of the BOV.

Cliff notes: Mount that bitch right in the middle! or right on the intercooler ;)

maybe I'll just paint it to match the color of my car to spiff it up and put it where everyone puts it. No one looks at my engine anyways.

about a foot or a foot and a half away from the TB should be fine for both throttle response and turbo life.

If you have a blow-thru setup(venting atmosphere) anywhere before the MAF(mass air flow sensor)

"The blow off valve is placed on the intercooler end tank, not on the charge piping. This allows the BOV to be more efficient by venting gasses at higher pressures than when it is placed on the charge pipe."
