do u guys make ur own turbo gaskets??
woundering if u guys use that material sold at auto parts to make them.especially the one mating the turbo with the mani. and the wastegate with the mani. called (conviniently) "gasket maker"............now im gessing is possible as long the material used is strong enugh to support high temps.

Re:do u guys make ur own turbo gaskets??
the only homemade gasket ive got right now is between the manifold and the adapter and the adapter and the turbo.
i bought a high temp gasket sheet from an engine rebuilding shop. (its made of a metal material with holes in it...) and i cut it out to the correct shape.
she works great!
make sure you use gasket sealer too.

I made all my gaskets using that stuff you can buy at autozone in sheets ($13 bucks I think)... It's some good stuff.. ask for the highest temp stuff they got and it'll hold up great. Cutting it can be a real pain ... I used a flash light and made patterns on paper to do all mine and they're pretty nice.

I don't use a gasket between my manifold and the turbo, but as far as being cheap, I used an OJ container (the wax paper ones) as a gasket for the tube that connects the turbo and the throttle body.
