Do I use colder plugs? Synthetic oil? Timing?
Here's my setup:
B18B with STR timing gears, underdrive pulley and fuel rail. T3 turbo with internal wastegate, DSM 450cc injectors, 255 walbro pump, Vortech FMU 12:1, DSM intercooler, AEM fuel pressure regulator, custom manifold. I'd like to run about 8psi. Is this safe with stock internals? What plugs to I use? I've heard 2 degrees colder. Is this true? How much should I retard the timing? How safe is it to use my internal wastegate? Or should I weld up the internal gate and install an external? Also should I be using Synthetic oil on the setup? Thanks |

This would be good to know, when to retard the timing...?

Re:Do I use colder plugs? Synthetic oil? Timing?
as far as the oil, refer to whatever the manufacturer of the turbo suggested. But I'm running the honda 5w30 oil and no problems with turbo cooling/lube with it (TD04-GH).

Good question! I don't know what I would use to slow the pulse down? Anyone?

Re:Do I use colder plugs? Synthetic oil? Timing?
the resistor box makes the "Peak and Hold" characteristic of the DSM 450cc injectors work with the "Saturated" requirements of "newer" Hondas. so no it doesnt.
ive only heard using the fmu or the 450's, not both... |

Anyone know how to tell which disc is in the vortech fmu?
