do i need to use a msd btm thing or not?
Ok, running t25 at 7psi seen at my manifold on my D series... do i need to retard any ign timing or do i really need a BTM unit? can i just manually retard IF NEEDED? None of the FAQ has anything on ign timing. thanks

i've got one and i'm retarding 1/3 degree per 1 pound of boost. no other retarding. i've got it as a safety measure incase i get bad gas or if something else happens. it wasn't too expensive and the only new part i purchased for my hmt setup. i think it comes out to almost 2.5 degrees at 8psi. if you retard 2 degrees on your dist you will probably be ok, but you will lose power in the lower end.

2 degrees only lol, i was gonna retard like 7 degrees... (1 deg/psi)
but this 2 deg retard.. is it respect to the stock 16BTDC (ie. the middle line of the timing, you know there are 3 lines indicating 18BTDC, 16BTDC-stock, 14BTDC)
so which one is it in respect of? if it's stock then i can just go 14, or even 13 to be safe..i ran my car at 8bdtc before and lowend wasn't bad
ALSO.. were you the guy who told me about rotating my turbo 30 deg to clear the A/C? how do you do this? is your turbo a t25?

what i mean is like did you drill the STD manifold bolt pattern on a 30 deg angle or the turbo pattern? i know to use steel but how did you get the tools to drill all the stuff?? you have access to this stuff?
also, so it's REALLY necessary to move the condensor fan to the front (ie. behind the bumper cover)?? so i guess i have to aim the fan the other way or something??
