was running 8psi no bov no problems
i personally like the sound of compressor surge :P

bov is not a necessity but when you shift it takes about half a second to respool/get back up to speed

 

Just look at any 2.3 turbo Ford from the 80's. They ran like 12psi from a T3 and came right out of the factory with out any kind of BOV.
But if you have to ask such a simple question, it worries me if you'll beable to run that much power.
