Re: difference between t3/t4 vs t3/t04e??

Hi All! Sorry for getting a bit off the topic here, but I'm going FI in my SOTCK b16a, and like to get a - T3/TO4E TURBO / EX:T3 49,5 RT:TO4E 52,5 / (turb).63 (comp).50

I'd like to know if this is a good choice, I want no more than 260whp.

Thanks!

If you want no more than 260whp just get a junkyard turbo in good condition. A T3 with 60/63 or 48/60 would probably be enough to reach your goal.

As for the LS turbo setup, 350 is a really high goal, you're going to have to do some serious modifications to reach that, especially with an LS head. If I were aiming at that goal I would definately get the B16 head. If you've got the money go ahead and get pistons, rods, and then sleeve it. An aftermarket intake manifold can be beneficial as well, I've seen some really good gains.

A good website to check out is www.importbuilders.com and www.importreview.com

They have a dyno graph of a built b16 putting out 324whp on 10psi (pump gas).

it would take me about 14 psi to make 350 whp on my gsr... on a ls probably 16 to 18 psi ... your stockinternals will not handle that. neither will mine.

id shoot for 275ish to 300 whp max. that would still be 14 psi ish for you.
