I wouldn't have compared the BB to a fucked up turbo, that wouldn't really help anyone out. The noise is just a little bit of dirt (most likely rust off the turbine housing) becuase I just got done reassembling it 5 minutes before the video. And no its not going to hurt anything cause it'll all blow out of there in 5 seconds. It only made noise cause I'm spinning the wheel with my fingers pushing the wheels closer to the housing.

Nice vids man I always suspected they'd be like that but never had any visual evidence. When you turn off your car with a ball bearing turbo can you still hear it spooling down? Cuz that would be tits

hmmm thats weird i have a turbonetics t3/t4 that has about 2000 miles on it and it spins free.. not as free as the BB turbo.... but lots better than the other one.

Great vid though man...
It it possible to take a air hose and blot in the inlet for like 2 seconds and then see how long each takes to slow down? that way there is no noise from your fingers or from you moving the fins at all..
Just a though.. good job though..

The ceramic turbo has been off a car for a while so yeah it will eventually spin freeer when hot oil goes through it but nothing like the ball bearing.

Here's the final video on this subject, sorry its shakey but last night was a big drinking night. Also ball bearings sound ------- badass too

For it to make noise you would have to hit full boost than jam on the brakes and shut off the car
