Your kidding right?? JDM B16's are low 14 sec motors (13's if you can drive and with slicks) Im not even gunna get into VTEC actuation on them.

I hate B16's almost as much as I hate anything JDM. I think they're overpriced and underpowered. Every kids I know that has anything JDM motor wise has spent $3,000 more than I have and I'm usually 1 to 2 seconds slower than me. USDM B18 and boost is all you need. Stay away from Honda-Tech and you'll actually go fast with a real world budget.

Overpriced?? There only a lil over 1000.00 Hell you can get a Long block for 600.00 Now compared to a type R or GSR motor its very well worth it... those two are in the 2000.00+ range and they might get you in 13's Yes LS is a tad bit cheaper and has more tq, but i guess you juss have to have the love of VTEC to like B16's. Also i have owned both, NA apps imma have to say B16. On turbo apps i heard better things about LS but it'll take less boost to make more power on the B16. Well anyways i have no idea why i posted all this, but thats how I feel. L8r

have you ever owned a b16 whitey? i've had a b18a, a b18b, and a b16, and all though you can definitely feel a little more torque out of the b18, i would never go back to nonvtec b series. i agree, they are gay for all motor, hell, all honda engines are gay for all motor unless you've got about 5-10k dollars invested. the only reaon kids buy bolt ons and want to go all motor is because they don't have 3k plus all at once to buy a turbo kit, and they are so stupid that they don't know you can make your own turbo kit for the price of a good header, cai, and full exhaust.

I've never owned a B16 cause I've never seen a fast one around me. I've always had my B18c1 which completely dominates the B16. And I've never found a B16 in the u-pull-it so thats the main reason I've never used one. In my real world experience I know I can get B18's for $300 to $500. And the $700 saved from the not getting the VTEC motor which has an extra 30hp you can buy a good turbo from the difference. I also don't like the high compression of JDM motors.

When I think of Honda motors I never consider how they perform all motor cause an all motor honda is close to worthless to me. Everybody has their opinions, I'm sure we can argue about this all day, just run whatever motor you want. Each motor has advantages and disadvantages

A b16 is an engine not a motor, and I would really like to see a stock b16 run 13's.
