Did I ---- up?

I bought a wastegate set for 15psi; will my manual boost controller turn it down to 7 or should I have bought on at 6 and turned it up to seven?

you cant turn boost down further than what the WG is set at with a boost controler. you need to modify the acuater rod (for internal) or get a different spring (external)...

mines adjustable. but ive seen mods on the net that cut and thread the shaft to acheive the same thing.

ive been trying to figure something out
i got a wastegate and i have no idea what the basterd opens at.

should i just call an audi place? or is there another way of finding out.

the one that I ordered did have the actuator shaft threaded. I just don't what shortening and lengthening the shaft will do. I geuss by lengthening, it makes the wastegate open easier or is that all wrong?

yeah if you loosen the bolt it will make it open sooner. which means less boost. your right.

If you use a vacuum pump / booster with a gauge you can run a vacuum line directly to the wastegate actuator and test it, to see when it opens. This is how I test all my actuators.
