I've got a D16Z6 with 14b and it seems to be spooling slower and slower and making less boost. After work, i'm gonna pressure-test it but that brings me to a question - when should I be expecting full boost (~8psi). Right now its about 4000rpm which sounds a bit high for that size turbo.

 

I did 3200-3400 on a DOHC ZC I think. It's been a while.

 

on my y7 / 14b (or what the ---- ever it is) i get full boost (~8psi) at around 3800rpm.

 

hmm maybe im being too picky then and everything is fine. Still gonna pressure test stuff and investigate the wastegate. I twas running ~9-10 psi now its runnign more like 6. something is up

 

mine was around 4000 (10 psi)...but i was having issues with the wastegate too. next turbo setup im definetly going external.

 

i was getting full boost (11 psi) by about 3700 with a stock cat.

 

I'm a ------- loser. I guess when I welded the BOV flange on, it warped a little. A little bit of RTV, refastened and it's running like a raped ape (I should know)

Yeah i'm very pleased. I took my fiance for a ride and she was like OMG thats so fast and started making her horny and she rubbed her ***** and I touched one of them, then shifted into VTEC and was all like "yeah you like that!"

 

That all seems kind of high for a 14 b. I was getting full boost on my stock z6 at 2800 rpm.
