D16Y8 Turbo question.

Hi, I'm fairly new here, and my knowledge of turbo's isn't that great, however after contemplating many possibilities for my engine, a home made turbo seems to be the cheapest and most powerful solution.
I do a ton of city driving. I would say about 85%. My car rarely sees above 3000 rpm. What i need is a really fast spooling turbo. Something that spools between 1000-1500 rpm would be perfect. Problem is, i dont know if such a turbo exists for my d16y8. I have tried searching, but the results are for different engines, and there are many mixed opinions.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

You can get a firefly from a probe. I think that is IHI-RHB5 not 100% sure.

There are smaller out there I am sure.

What do those things spool at? And what about a gt17? I have read that its a small turbo, but couldn't find much info on it.

And the RHB5 is smaller than that.

small turbos lose power up top and I'm sure once you're boosted you'll take your car way past 3k

Put a t3 42/48 on it and you'll be good. There's no reason to want an overly small turbo. If you put an rhb5 on your car, you WILL want to punch yourself in the penis down the road.

I'm not looking for big power. What does the rhb5 stop making power at 5k? 6k? I'll probably never see those revs.
I just want a car thats nice to drive. A bit more umph down low, and faster acceleration around town.
Also, if i were to put an rhb5, say from a probe, onto a bone stock d16y8, what kind of numbers would i be looking at. Just an estimate. Would it be a 14 second car at the quarter mile?
Thanks.
