D16Y7 w/ T-25

How much boost will my car probably run if I install my kit WITHOUT a boost controller? I was going to use a homemade style manual boost controller, but have heard many bad things about their reliability and over-boosting, boost leak, boost creep, etc. i just wanna know what psi i can expect to run without a boost controller in place. i will probably get an electronic controller eventually, but for now, none. thank you.

whatever the stock setting on ur wg is is the lowest psi u can run with it. u can only raise the amount off boost u run with a bc not lower it

the turbo is from an eclipse gst. what is the wastegate set at then on these turbos?

EDIT: sorry, i responded right after you did. so i can expect to run around 8psi then on an eclipse t-25?...that sounds good to me. thats what i wanted to run anyway, thanks for the help.

I'm attempting the same setup.
If I want to run only 8-9 psi do I need a boost controller or is that only needed if I want to up the boost?

Only need a boost controller to up the boost. Boost controllers wont lower. If you want to lower boost you got to either get a new wastegate. Or modify yours.
