Default D16Y7 Turbo

First off i would like to say hi to all of you, and let you all know i joined the board.

Second off i have a few questions.

Alright as of right now i have about a 1g budget, and today i just bought a turbo (14b in good condition) now first off i would like to let you know what im planning on doing with this before i ask ne questions. I have a 98 civic Dx (D16Y7)w/ 40k miles on it.

I was thinkin i would want to run 5 p.s.i. for Daily Drivin and about 8 p.s.i. at the track keep in mind this will be on stock internals you think this will work??

I would be using the 14b turbo with piping from jcwhitney a SAFC with a fuel pressure regulator, and for a short time i will be using the stock dx intake mani but i will eventually be doing a ex intake mani swap, i would also be using some DSM 440cc injectors on the stock civic fuel pump (will this be ok??) The problem i have is i dont know ne exact numbers or ne thing of stuff and ---- i would need i only have a very vague idea of what parts i will need so if ne one could provid me w/ a parts list i would really appreciate it. And i wanna know what would be a good intercooler for me to use on that setup?

My friend also told me that a 14b on my car would only last about 6 months on my car, and that it wouldnt be very reliable or streetable and would not pass emissions ( how would i get it to pass emissions?) So i would like to know from you guys is would it really be worth it?

I know this is really vague, but i hope with your guys's help i (we) can get this thing running and still be streetable.

Ne info, or opinions or ne thing for that matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys.

I'm doing this same setup right now, except using a SMC 500 as management, and a walbro 255lph fuel pump. Make sure to get obd1 or obd0 injector clips. Thats one thing I'm having problems with. As for your friends saying 6 months. 5psi is very low. At a constant 5psi 8 at track I dont see how you will have any problems. But if your really worried get it tuned (I know I'm going to). I will be running 8psi right now and eventually going to 10. But I have been told my setup would be good to 12psi.
