d16y7 intake handle boost?

I have a 2000 lx and i want to boost it nothing crazy just 7 psi with a garret super 60 stock internals. Just looking for a little power till i can build the motor now my question is will the y7 intake manifold handle that? I know alot of people swap out for a y8 intake but im doing this on a budget and this car is my dd

why wouldnt the intake handle that? im currently using a my stock plastic intake on my vehicle and running 10 psi through it will no issues. the stock intake on any vehicle should withstand way more boost than you could every throw at it.

I was just wondering cause I cant find anyone that has a boosted y7 that kept the intake. all the ones i search for swapped to the y8 intake I was just wondering if that was absolutely neccessary.

i just googled the difference between the two intakes. if definitely looks like the 07 intake manifold flows much better but thats the only difference i can see. it looks as if the 07 intake will make more power and thats why people swap them. you shouldnt have any issues using your stock intake

you mean the y8 intake flows better right? lol I know it does but im on a tight budget and i will swap it later just making sure I would be good to go if i kept the y7 intake for a while
