d16 turbo setup?
I would like to know if this is a good turbo set up for my 2000 civic dx (d16y7)
turbo-t3/t4(wet floating bearing), 3"inlet, 2"outlet- .50a/r- .63 hot side stg 3 wheel, turbonetics cast housing -38mm wastegate -intercooler- 460mx160mmx90mm |
Re: d16 turbo setup?
turbo too big for that motor....laaaaaag monster.
|
Re: d16 turbo setup?
Definitely way too large. At most I'd try one with a stage 1 wheel but it will still be a lag monster. You could try a .48 stage 1 wheel with a 50 trim compressor.

Re: d16 turbo setup?
like a 54 trim t3/t4 would be better.
maybe go down to a t3 60 trim, those are the ticket on stock d's |
Re: d16 turbo setup?
ok, what turbo would you suggest for this setup to work best
|
Re: d16 turbo setup?
wrx, 14b, t3 .42/.48 or the t3 60 trim are all good turbos going small to large from left to right

Re: d16 turbo setup?
The turbo you are talking about will work but need the push a little more exhaust out.
should be fine |
Re: d16 turbo setup?
