I finaly managed to do things the way I wanted.
K03 turbo on a european d15 vtec-e. I did things the safe way so I used 660 ccm injectors, chrome, LM-1 O2 and walbro 255 to make shure I do not get in to lean area. The first manifold I made was custom and it worked fine but it started to break so I replaced it wiht HF. The IC is from Saab. BOV no name "racing some thing from local tuning store" works prety nice. I rined the car on 12-14 psi (0.9bar) on the 402 Race in Zagreb and I managed to hit 14.6 best time. The car was pinging like crazy and I blew my headgasket. Any way I decided to raced to the end. It held and nothing blew. After instaling thicker headgasket things were beter. I never got it on the dyno so I am not shure about the HP. The clutch is sinter and it holds great. The spool of the small turbo was great. After 2500 I got boost. I was steady all the way to 7000rpm. Prety nice for town driving. I changed the gear box to d16z6 but I destroyed the dif. Some thing got broken so It was back to the log gearbox. is the K03 the one fitted to audi TT's? or is it from a 150hp vag engine?
How do you control the 3rd stage of vtec in crome? Are you running a 2.5 bar map sensor? |

improved and slightly larger compressor while using the same turbine still with the same installation dimensions. |

yeah, those are designed for peak torque at a useable rpms on a 1.8l so on a 1.5 or 1.6 itll probly reach full spool before 3k.

Before 2 months i swaped the d15 engine for d16z6 so now I am runing 14psi (it is winter here) The car runs great. I tried it on open turbo boosting about 1.3bars and it held. The car was riping through 3ird gear like crazy until the hose let loose. Now I am leanring how to tune with LMA-3 and LM-1 so I can prepare the car for race. I will run Crome on max boost. I hope to hit low 13 or atleast 13.5. Now on 0.8-1bar I am at around 14sec on 1/4 but the car is not fine tuned yet. |
