D15b7 good or no good
Hey guys just need some feed back on this motor. Its the stock motor in my eg civic. I want to boost it but everyone
keeps telling me that the block is week. I plan on running a t3/to4e with Dsm 450 cc on the afc hack. Maybe gonna run 7psi max. Is this motor capable of holding this power or do I need to swap to something else. I really dont want to swap, just want to use what I have. |
Re: D15b7 good or no good
you dont need a t3/t4 for that little motor, and it will hold as long as you dont use the AFC and just get a chipped ecu.

Re: D15b7 good or no good
So no afc. Should I use the stock computer to get chipped or should I use something else. I got a Pm5 and a pr4 laying around here.

Doesn't the DX models (D15B7) civics come with the P06? I can't remember... if so you can get that chipped.

Re: D15b7 good or no good
First of all I would like to say do not use afc hack!
Just a basemap from Xenocron will be better than that. D15b7 is a good little motor its cheap and easy to finda new one if you break it, and it will take 7 psi allday. :6 |
Re: D15b7 good or no good
supposedly 180whp is the breaking point for the rods, which going from stock 70ish whp to 150-170whp is quite a difference
