Re: d15b vtec t3/t4 .50AR
You need to know trim.
Learn to read a compressor map and understand the flow requirements for your motor at HP. I know nothing of VTEC, but my old school 2.4L motor (sub 300hp) the t3/t04 V-trim was too big. It'd spool, but there are better more efficient turbos out there for small displacement. 55AR.. I forget the trim. |
Re: d15b vtec t3/t4 .50AR
im using a ching chang chong meyow turbo on this springs progject :'(...... t3/4 .57 trim .63 hot and cold.... its on a b18 and it is plenty eficient......
it will spool on the d16, but imo its a little to big for that motor... |
Re: d15b vtec t3/t4 .50AR
I had the same setup on the d15b for a little while. It took forever to spool that turbo. Like 5500 rpm!! ------- sucks. At that point full boost to 11 psi is almost instant. Welcome to HMT and turbo lag cock smoker.
