Default custom turbo

I just bought A turbo no Ebay off a 99 wrx.I want to make a custom setup for my D16Z6. But now that I have done some research the turbo is putting out way to much boost. Is their any way to lower the boost with an internal wastegate The turbo is a Td04I.

you could give the actuator arm some more length

well your best most reliable thing to do is to just buy another wastegate that has a weaker spring thus making less boost or exttend the actuator arm to lower boost....imo just buy another wastgate its no more than 40 buxmaybe 60

How much longer would I need to go on the actuator arm.
I also heard that you can use a spring

too much boost .......my boost gauge never goes past 6-7 psi with the stock wastegate. The wrx's run a higher amount of boost because of a selenoid or something but the waste gate is only set a 6-7 psi.
