Before the SAFC, where you using check valves? Also are you using the stock clutch?

i made a Lowe's special, PVC vacuum manifold with 3 fish tank check valves on it, the computer doesn't hit fuel cut, & it works very well

the computer hits fuel cut at around 5psi, we added one check valve, that got us to 5.5, then added 2 more for a little extra security once we turn the boost up over 6.5 once i install his intercooler, which just came in today...its seckseh

 

she's intercooled now, as of saturday night, so i cranked the boost controller in like 6 turns, but a nasty exhaust leak developed at the sinktrap to manifold connection...preventing full boost & killing repsonse, tried to fix it sunday but it lasted 2 pulls, one hit just over 9psi, the other 8, & its now back to a lazy 7psi

looks like i got to yank the manifold & try a few ideas out that i have in mind

 

One more question, have you changed the routing of the pcv valve?

 

yeah, in the pics up top, that is what i did initially, then i relized, it won't work, so right after the pics, i ran dump lines...eh, its not perfect, but until Austin gets a catch can, i dunno what else to do

 

what are you going to do?, i wounder if people with sinktraps have a extra brace somewere on the uppipe to turbo
to keep it tight.

 

redesign the flange connection...sort of...i have a few ideas, that should work fine, but it involves removing the damn manifold again

 

just cough up the money for a 4e and boost the living hell out of it with a t28

oh yeah ...... the first car that i ever fixed up was a tercel.....nitrous fed though





damn i miss my work wheels

 

yeah, uh, its faster then most stock & slightly modified 4efte swapped tercels, for much less $$$ also
