After a 75 shot we need an msd ignition to retard the timing, our internals depending on the car dont last much past a 100 shot. He also must have had a performance clutch because again ours wont handle that kinda power...lastly his tranny being a 5spd is weaker than the gm auto's like mine. They cant take 300 hp so he may have lied about the 150 shot.

A 75 - 100 shot would have been more than enough to take those Z28's

crx88Si,

I have a digital cam and I will be going crazy with it without a doubt. I enjoy making tutorials and such so I hoped I could get on the projects page after its completed

www.ITSTURBO.net - did a 01' sunfire with a 2.2 running 6psi and no IC made 185WHP on the dyno.

FYI

typert,

I know that a 2.2 litre with an exploited racing turbo kit made HP: 170Hp Tq: 190ft/lbs with 8 psi and no intercooler. Also a 2.2 ecotec made 196 hp at 6 psi with no intercooler.

I should be running 6 psi on my 2.4 to start with and its obviously intercooled. I'm expecting a lil over 200 whp and when i bump it up to 8 - 10 I should be around 240 or so at the wheels...hopefully

240 at the wheels or the crank...

240 at the wheels is like what 260-275 at the crank??

How much is the tranny/bottom end rated at ?
I hope you have an upgraded tranny cooler in mind, and a new torque convertor would help too.

The tranny I have has been known to haldle 250 whp usually without a problem some have gone more as well. I have an auto trans interceptor that increases the line pressure to stop slipping shifts (just like a shift kit)

I havent heard of anyone having problems with the torque converter after 100 - 125 shots of nitrous so I should be alright. Although I will be installing a larger tranny cooler.

CV shafts are my main concern but so long as I dont run slicks I should spin instead of breaking them
