The turbos you are looking for are Holsets. They make big power, they love lots of boost, they are cheap, they are bigger than a T3 frame so fitting them takes more work.
There is also a giant 40 odd page thread on HT about them, and more than few people here rock them, check the HMT dyno days video, I know there's a 300+ whp B-series car in there running a Holset.
