im not comparing the turbo to a T3 im saying you cant just call it a ct26. there are different types just lke there are different types of t3's.

im not saying you are comparing it to a t3. I'm asking how many types of CT26 are there, as far as i can find there is only one type, which in my opinion allows me to call it a CT26

ct26's are pretty nice. I'm not a fan of the twin scrolls b/c they become so restrictive so much faster than the CT26a's off the 7m-gte supras, but they are still good turbos.

3s-gte MR2 stock dyno (Check the richness)

5s-fte MR2 (3s-gte manifold & CT26, stock psi, weaker 5s-fe 5 speed transmission, running quite lean)

5s-fte Camry (3s-gte manifold & CT26, 10psi, A140-E 4 speed A/T, running quite lean)

You can see the twin-scrolls boost quickly on Toyota engines. But... Keep in mind most stock Toyota i4's make gobs more low end power than the equivilant Honda i4 will. So that probably will not remain as true on a Honda i4. I think it's a good choice if you want to be a bit different. Since they have the weird flange, once youg et one, you're kinda stuck with it.

The good news is it's common to upgrade the compressor to a 40, 50, 57, or 60mm T04E wheel, and clip the exhaust turbine a bit. On the Toyota's this means boost about 4000rpm, and a good power upgrade.

3s-gte MR2 (EMS management E-153 + LSD, full exhaust, intake etc... I forget the turbo, 57, or 60 T04e & some amount of turbine clipping)

^ is right. I've never seen, or heard of anyone with maps for Toyota hardware.

The msot I can tell you is the CT26a off the 7m-gte:

Designation: Toyota CT-26
Source of Turbo: JDM 7M-GTE
Rated Flow Capacity: 437 cfm (33 lb/min)
Compressor A/R Ratio: 0.70 a/r
Exhaust A/R Ratio: 0.50 a/r
Compressor Trim: 40- trim
Bearing Type: Full-Floating Bearing
Optimum Boost Level: 8-10 psi
Max Recommended Boost: 18 psi
Water Cooled: Yes
Estimated HP (7M-GTE): 300-320 HP @ 12-14 psi

Sometimes it's called a split tang. When you look at the exhaust housing inlet (where it attached to the manifold), it is divided and basically looks like two holes instead of one large one.

Re: CT26 + B16a = ?

i know that the jdm ct26's on the mr2 had the ceramic wheel on it. also the ct26s came in the mr2s just on the gen 2 motors tho (making 225 hp), but the gen 3 had the ct20b (245hp). i think the ct20b came with a ceramic wheel. i have an mr2, from my experience the ct26 starts loosing boost around 6k, but the ct20b boost all the way to redline. hope this helps, i don't know if its different from other cars.
