Re:CT20a??
I've heard of a CT20B, they came on the JDM MR2. This is a popular upgrade for second gen MR2's as the CT20B has a ceramic wheel which spools faster then the CT26. I never heard of the CT20a , there is all kinds of info on the CT20B on www.mr2oc.com just use the search.

Re:CT20a??
CT20 is a very crappy tiny turbo, it came off some toyota truck for van or something, plus it has a wierd turbine flange. CT20B is just a little "nickname" for the 3rd gen mr2 ct26 turbo,If you ask toyota for a ct20b, they wont know what the hell your talking about because thats just the name given to the turbo by MR2 enthusiast to cut down on confusion i guess. ct20b is the biggest rip off in the world. 750-900 dollars for a used factory turbo that can barley squeak out 300rwhp with tons of tuning. Oh yeah good lucky finding any compressor maps for any toyota turbo, they never gave them out.

Re:CT20a??
Hi guys,
i believe it came of a truck, here are some pics, I don't have the pics installed. I compared it side by side with a TD04L from a WRX and the CT20 is way bigger.

Thanks for the URLs, I'll also search on those.

Re:CT20a??
On what engine are you going to use it?
I used to have one of those...boosted fine.
used it on a D15 and a ZC.
But it's got some issues with boost creep if you're using the stock wastegate....it's not letting enough air pass by for the higher revving honda engines. The turbine is small.
The compressor is A/R .42 the same size as a T3 A/R .42 I measured it. And I had both turbo's.
Just slap it on if you want to. I used it cause I got it for free and it was barely used.
At 14 psi the D15 screamed... .
I got some exhaust turbine flanges left. Had a inlet flange, but i used it, it's still straight though.

Re:CT20a??
I used it on a Lancer, its a bit laggy, i get full boost by 4500rpm And it does creep, specially on 4th and 5th...
Is it a good turbo? I was thinking of replacing it with a T3 off a Nissan.
I also have a TD04L off a '04 WRX.
Any ideas?
Did you get your car dynoed? How many whp did you get using this turbo?

Re:CT20a??
It spooled really quick when I didn't have leaks....had full boost at about 2800 rpms that was like 7 psi and from 6K rpm's and up it jumped to 1bar roughly 14-15 psi....it did it in all gears. It was on a D15B2 with MPFI swap and D16A6 cam in it.
Didn't get it dynoed, but I beat some VTI CRX's and civic's on the street.
The CRX VTI runs stock 14.5 at the track with a normal decent driver I've seen them run 14.3's to.
I beat them by 4-5 cars when i shifted from 2nd to 3rd I think the 1bar creep had a lot to do with it. And I was in a Civic EG.
