CT-26 Rotation Help
Ok, Im trying to rotate my CT-26 so it doesnt face the block with the new mani. I pulled the wg c clip thingy to it would let go of the door in the hot side. And have loosened and pulled off the CHRA clamps. Center Housing Rotating Assembly. And its old so im sure its rusted real nice together. Any suggestions on how to pull apart? Or anything im missing? I have yet to use blunt force trama on the hot side...

Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
Pb blaster works good, my t3 .60/.63 took a few small smacks with a smaller rubber hammer to budge the exhaust side, compressor side was cake. If you take it apart, clean it up nice

Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
I sprayed a bunch of pb blaster all over mine. Tomorrow im going to spin it, and mock it up on the car. When its not to late to wake people up with me beating on ----.

Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
o aight, some super penatrant. Hey on the compressor side, on the back facing the center section there is a large c clip that looks like it keeps the compressor housing facing the stock way. instead of messing with the center section/hotside, could i just pull that c clip and pull the compressor down? or does the oil/coolant pathways need to stay they same on that side? or does that even matter? thanks for all the help guys, and you got any pics of the turbo rotated yet?

Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
no the oil line come that way with the feed and drain on the same side. just make sure the drain is pointed down. do you have the original feed line?
|
Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
yup, all the original lines are connected to the center section.

Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
what did you do to get that exaust side off. this things been pb blasted the hell out of and ive beat on it for awhile and i cant get it to crack open. i think i might have to use some heat on it.

Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
i figure i might ask this but what size t3 does a ct26 compare to. i have heard some many different things but figured if it came off a 3liter stock then i should eb good for my b18

Re: CT-26 Rotation Help
I think the supra ct-26a falls right above the biggest stock t3, buit not quite to what most of the smaller good t4 hybrids run. That's just my opinion... When I rotate them, Penitrating oil / rust remover. Then I stick a rounded off 2*2 in the compressor housing & another one in the turbo housing. Never gives me a problem, but I've never delt with one in a horrible condition.
