we did it just to see if the car ran. This was like 1998 and it was a 1986 crx with an h build.

It's weird because '98 was a ------- decade ago already. I remember seeing SCC put out a Honda/Acura performance guide that my neighbor bought, featured a college kid build, sidewinder F22 turbo CB Accord ('93) that ran steady low 13's and dipped into 12's.

That was a big deal.

It wasn't bad, it just made retarded blanket statements like every other import magazine. They never go in depth as to why these forces affect the car and what principles effect the power characteristics of the engine, or the suspension, or the tires, nor brakes. SCC always came the closest, to really figure it out you have to read physics books and beable to apply the things you learn.

They also did a complete buildup of an Si hatch in that same book thing, which was pretty neat and covered basic turbocharging.

It's better than stupid street.

Magazines are good for pics. Real tech cant be broken down into a 1 page ------. Kinda why I just dont even bother looking at them. I prefer to roam tool stores,go to school and read old machine shop books.

Machine shop manuals and engineering articles are the best.
