Re: crower stage 3 cam with boost??
sounds like a honda-tech i wish setup... 10.5:1 comp and 15psi?? I hope you wrote the software for CHROME pro

Re: crower stage 3 cam with boost??
if it can be done then i will do it 15 psi isnt that big for 10.5 pistons with tuning i saved alot of money for the tuning part of this setup..and i have all the parts for the set up other then the machining for the block and the crank.. so its not a wish list im making up..all i asked was for some advise on the cam from people who know about the cam or know someone that has used it for turbo.

Re: crower stage 3 cam with boost??
Some people might disagree but IMO putting a cam in a sohc is a waste of money, just turn up the boost if you want more power.

Re: crower stage 3 cam with boost??
man i guess no one uses this cam or a cam for that matter..i would of thought that a cam was a good thing to have i mean if you want you engine to breath better(which thats what a engine is an air pump)and flow better exhaust than a cam is the way to do. i mean i do have a race P&P done to the head..and everything crower want done to the head to have that cam in the head is done..like i asked before all i wanted to know is if there was anyone using a sim setup??but i guess ill be the only one using this setup on here, anyway ill post number when im finished with the engine and dyno it..im looking for 300+ whp.. i think thats a fare presumtion of power considering what i have for the set-up.

you can make 300hp and still be able to eliminate half the ---- on your list and fill the block. |
Re: crower stage 3 cam with boost??
i already have the thing so why not put it in plus if its there it should in some way help my engine.ps see when i go and say i have a fully built engine i really want to mean it..not half built it then go back and put part in after its all said and in there..wouldnt you think so??i would like a reliable 300+whp d16z6 not one that is goin to kill over in 6 months im lookin for 4+ years out of this engine but if i get 3 its not that bad ether.

Re: crower stage 3 cam with boost??
not sure if you'll get the correct response from this site as its a "home made" so most people are trying to find the cheapest way to get the most power, and honestly camshafts = $$$ especially if they are crowers stage 3. Most people on here with "D-series" will not and cannot justify spending that much money on a motor they can get from their neighbor for less than $400 with tranny.
Crowers in general rocks. Have used Crowers in B-series and they do very well with them. Just a word of advice, if you are planning to put that much money into this project, might want to consider just getting your block sleeved... but thats just me. Nothing against Devcon as many have had success with it, but just think about it... and scour the net for good and cheap sleeved d-series |
