post the pics on newbieforces or another host since you have to register on b20vtec and I doubt many of us have the patience for that ;) If they're posted up on another webboard, just get the url from there and post it in [img] tags so the pictures just show up here.

Without seeing the pics, I can't say for sure, but cracks around the wastegate hole are pretty common on used turbos due to the expansion and contraction from it being heated up and cooled down over and over again. As long as the cracks aren't that big it should be fine. Otherwise, it will still be ok, it will just leak a little boost on you.

yeah thats normal its due to the fact mitsubishi cant build a decent turbo.

itll work fine.

hairline cracks are common but that one is actually pretty bad. very long goes pretty far on both sides. the crack goes beyond the edge of the 2nd pic.
most people are gonna say run it, so let's see what happens.
another option is to weld it, weld the flapper, and run the external wastgegate block off plate.

whats this about an external block off plate??? in doing all this with the hf mani and all that stuff, so im trying to keep it cheap ...... is there anyway i can try and repare this without welding the wastegate shut???

JB weld WILL NOT hold up on a turbo. It will melt off within minutes.

Myself, I would just run it how it is. ;)
