The "ring problem" is actually a machinist problem. JE does not ship race pistons with a soft OE equivalent moly coated ring so ring seats quick and then seal quality takes a dump 2-5K miles later. They use a hard ------- nitrided ring that needs a super coarse hone to seat, and both machinist and whomever is breaking in the engine needs to know what they are about.

I like Mahle, JE, Wiseco... and have had good results from SRP although they had a questionable rep. Avoid Probe pistons for imports.

FYI I'd run the hard JE rings in anything I ever intended to put racegas in.

CP working just dandy here.... Ive tried CP and Endyn... I dont blame the Endyn pistons for their fail in my experience, I blame Larry.

Regardless, My motor has been beaten to hell and back, theyre still minty.
