Could i connect the wastegate and the BOV inline with the FRP?

I had the wastegate connected to the turbo compressor housing and I saw in another post that the turbo would spool up faster if the WG was connected to the intake manifold instead. Both the BOV and the wg are connected inline with the fuel pressure regulator now. The car builds 10psi in first gear before 5500k rpm and in 2nd gear 10psi by 4800 rpm, 3rd 10psi before 4000rpm Vtec is set at 4500 rpm. it builds up boost way faster connected this way. i also pluged the nipple on the compressor where the w/g was connected before with a rubber boot. Is it ok to share the fuel pressure regulator vacume source from the intake manifold with the BOV and WG actuator (internal WG)?

You want to do that on a speed density system(MAP based). Fuel pressure should be regulated at the manifold. Its a pressure equilibrium thing with the injectors. As the boost increases in the manifold, it gets harder for the injectors to push fuel so you equalize the diference by upping the fuel pressure. Heres some info on it -http://www.2gnt.com/www/corbin/chooseinj.html

I'm not sure about mass air systems, but if you're using a MAP based fuel system then definately not.

hmm. Your question was essentially "Can I hook the FPR to the compressor housing?"

The answer is no. Hook it to the manifold.

yeah i have my car tunned aswell as the pressure in my FPR
in order to compensate the extra pressure that's put on the fuel trying to come out of the injectors cause of boost. I'm asking if I could use the vacume source from the intake manifold that the FPR is hooked upto so that I can run the WG,BOV inline with the FPR. :-*

Doh! Maybe I do need a nother dose :o I got ya.

Thats fine - as long as everything is getting a strong signal. Make sure the outlet on the manifold isn't small compared to the BOV and WG inlets.

naw they take the same size of vacume hose thanks for your help. i deleted that post about the add meds.lol. i saw it was your first post and i didn't wanna be rough. thanks for your help.

this thread is way more confusing than it needs to be. yes, you can t in to the same vacuum source for the wg and bov.

From personal experiences I've had problems double tapping sources for wastegate. I was having boost fluctuations when doing BOV/Wastegate or Wastegate/FPR. So from now on my wastegate gets its own direct source from the intake manifold.

Solid boost is good 8)

Could I connect the waste gate to the charge pipe before the throttle body?

I don't have any independent vacume sources to hook up the waste gate to. could i jb weld a barb to the charge pipe right before the throttle body so i can hook up the waste gate to that this way it has it's own vacume source?
