Cooling the engine bay...
As many of you boosted guys know, putting turbo in your honda will make your engine bay temperatures skyrocket to kingdom "CUM".
My question to you guys is what are your suggestions in keeping the engine bay cool...? The things I've seen done are as follows: 1) Wrap header, downpipe, etc with the heat wrap 2) DIY fast and the furious style holes on the OEM hood 3) New CF hoods with some holes already fabricated in 4) Raising the back part of the hood like an inch so more air can get through the engine bay. 5) No HOOD. I'm just trying to find an economical way of cooling my engine bay down. I'm probably going to be wrapping the downpipe and parts to keep it a tad cooler... Any ideas? Or what you've done? |
Re:Cooling the engine bay...
I say wranp the mani. and get a fan with higher rpms.
If you have the money just get a nice carbon hood with an inverted scoop. |
Re:Cooling the engine bay...
open up the "foglight" holes in the front bumper and run dryer ductiong to the hot spots.

Re:Cooling the engine bay...
I would go for the raising of the back hood, it's the least rice/most HMT approach to your solution.

Re:Cooling the engine bay...
i just removed rubber seal between hood and cars body (between windwashers nd hood) and got tiny hole. i dont know how good it helps to cool engine bay, but i think it work atleast a little. and that mod took 2 minutes =))

Re:Cooling the engine bay...
it would be a good idea for guys running ac to run a dryer duct pipe to their ac compressor if their downpipe is realy close to it. ;D
