Default conrods

hi guys!
i was just wondering... is it necessary to upgrade to stronger conrods, or to have the existing ones strengthened (via shot peening)
i am planning to run up to about 1.2 bar (about 18 psi i think!)
any thoughts?
what kind of power are you guys pushing on STOCK internals?
thanx

sorry... i was meant to add that too!
cfm looking at about 30 lbs/min (looking for about 300 hp)
turbo is a t3/t4 still deciding on a decent trim though!
i am just wondering if it is worth my while to do something with the conrods!

on what car? engine? budget?

if its a honda.. 10psi is the MAX you can run and thats if u have GOOD FUEL management! If u want more, get rods pistons and everything checked. Sleeves would be a good idea, but are costly.
