Compressor wheel hitting housing

Re: Compressor wheel hitting housing
if it has in-out shaft play then the compressor and turbine are probably shot and soo is the thrust bearing and the regular journal bearings. If it just has side to side play, put some oil in the oil inlet and spin it a little bit, if it tighens up so the wheel doesnt touch the housing, and it has no in-out play ( a little side to side is acceptable) then rock it

It's already in the car..............no in/out and only a tiny bit of side/side. Weird thing is that it spins freely but if you kinda push it to the side it scrapes the housing, you can also clearly see that the wheel is digging into the housing. When at full boost I can hear a high pitched whine/squel which just happened recently. This sound is beyond what the turbo spool use to sound like.

I had exacly the same issue with my turbo. (t3)
pull the exuast housing off and chek for in/out play.
mine had absolute minimal/moderate play and she was fukd.
u can also hear it scrape , quite a unique sound. might be time 4 a new 1
