compressor surge?
hey guys im running 5psi on my ek d-series running 450cc and td40h turbo. Ihave RFL bov placed on chargepiping near the intercooler anyways, after taking it for a test drive i noticed a flutter noise, is this compressor surge? if so is it bad for the car? and how can i get rid of it? i know there are ppl who like that noise but im looking for a loud crisp noise that was the reason for my buying the rfl bov.

Re: compressor surge?
Okay your a *** number 1 and just to make that clear. Your BOV has a adjustment **** on it you can loosen slightly. Try that. Also make sure you have a good vaccuum source. Its not good for the turbo since you asked.
Edit:
Oh yeah and only on 5psi what the ---- do you expect?? Honestly you should of got a super sequential instead.

Re: compressor surge?
if you would have simply researched "compressor surge" instead of just posting... you would have learned a lot more than whether or not its bad.. you would know WHY its bad, how you can fix it, and what causes it.. instead, you looked for a simple yes/no on if it were bad or not... Im a noob, but Ive come across a few threads about compressor surge.. so, I dont have to ask.. even if I didnt know about it before, READ, fuckass :1

PS RFL's suck *****. Sell it to a ricer. They are hit and miss, sounds like yours is missing.
