Default Complete Turbo Set-up???????

I am going to be buying a 97 eagle talon non-turbo. I plan on somehow getting a turbo set-up of my own. I am a student and dont have the $$$ to spend on a hahn turbo setup. I was wondering what is the complete list of parts I would need to make this happen and how much am I going to be spending. Also if there is anyone on here that can point me in the right direction on where to purchase a whole setup that would be appreciated. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks to all!

www.DSMtuners.com <-- Good site, good forums
www.dsm.org <--Seems to be down but the archive has a good FAQ

If you can't afford to swap in a 1G DSM engine, which I think would be the best boost option, just take a look at what is included with the Hahn kit and see what you could replace it with:

Super 16G TDO5H-16G10CM2 turbo: 1G Manual DSM turbo
Cast exhaust manifold: Does a turbo DSM manifold fit? If not, get one made.
Downpipe: Exhaust shop
Piping: Exhaust shop
Fuel pump: Walbro HP 255 lph, or any one that can flow enough fuel.
Regulator: Vortech, off Ebay.
Wiring: I leave this up to you, it's all gonna be custom
Connectors: Look at the everything you need to know about oil lines, and check out how the connectors are done on Turbo'd Hondas to give you a general idea.
Gauges: Boost, fuel pressure, A/F, EGT, oil, your choice, I would go with at least Boost and fuel. Get them off ebay, from a local speed shop, many places on the net.

http://www.DSMtrader.com would be a good place to look for a lot of parts you'll need. And the sites I listed at the beginning have forums that would most likely have writeups concerning what you want to do. Good luck, and I hope this has helped.

I think that's the 2nd time Brett has made my job easier.

Anyways, there are plenty of add in kits or parts to go custom on that motor, I would highly recommend you stay away from a 4g63 swap - just not worth it. Which motor is in that car anyways, the 420a? Yes I know it's the 2.0 DOHC aluminum head/cast block, but I forget the specifics of all those N/A ones, I just like to group them in the neon catagory.

By the time this is all over, you might be better off just purchasing a facotry turbo'd DSM, an AWD 1g you can hook up with for as little as $1,500.. then just get to work fixing her up. There are plenty of inexpensive higher milage '95 GSTs out there, just swap over the '97+ body trim and you are good to go.

Dsmtuners.com is the website that will be your friend, that has to be the most helpfull dsm site I've been to. I have some links here and there for random 2g dsm ---- if you need them. Dsmtuners is like h-t except for all the people are cool and educated, naturally HMT is within a class of it's own.

Good luck with your ventures.
