Well some carb cleaner will remove any heavy carbon buildup on/ in the turbo. Then if you wanted to scuff it up with a wire brush or something you could give it a quick shot of hi temp. paint to make it look all purdy. Keep in mind that any paint you do put on will eventually just burn itself right back off again.

Well, you could disassemble the turbo to clean it, but that might just be a pain in the a@$. If you get any carb cleaner or whatever you use in the turbo, it will just evaporate. Or you could blow compressed air through the turbines to try and dry it up. I'm sure if your not planning on using the turbo anytime soon (like within hours), you'll be fine and the cleaners will dry.

Well, what injectors are you going to be using with that FMU? You know you can just use your stock injectors. And what about a wastegate? You just going to stick with the internal wastegate on the turbo? And don't forget a missing link or check valves.
