It will be fine if you weld the DP to the motor before the flex tube.
i had one, crack'd 74 times at the wastegate elbow and have had one that lasted 2 years

I had the old style, and now i've got the same as you, i haven't had an issue with either of them, for the price, i would have to crack 4 or 5 of them to be worthwile buying a Supar JDM Namebrand piece

yeah, i don't plan on that turbo lasting that long. i have seen the hx35 and they seem nice, but i wonder if the hy35 would spool a little faster. also. i do plan on bracing it in some shape or form, i just haven't decided how i want to do it.

sorry for the late update, i have since sold the car. and am now building a 96 dx coupe with a single slam vitara holset hmt setup in the works.

as far as a ripper vid, this is all i have. this vid was being recorded from inside an 11.88 srt-4 neon. the white hatch is mine and the middle car is an 11.99 non vtec integra. i was pushing about 15 psi on this run.

my best at the track on street tires and 8 psi was 12.8 @ 113mph, 2.18 60ft.

was taped in brazil..... sorry, i know street racing is dangerous, i do not street race anymore.

this is the neon.

i have been thinking of getting an he351cw for my vitara build. though i am thinking of using a SPA top mount cast mani. a guy here in ky made 440+ whp with a spa topmount on a vitara setup.
