check valves for a gSR? JRSC not turbo
i know this is a turbo forum but i figured i can get some help here. I have a supercharged GSR and i was wondering if i can run CHECK VALVES on my car. THIS IS ONLY FOR A TEMPORARY USE. i cannot afford uberdata or crome etc. at the moment. My car is bogging and i figured i need check valves since all i am running is a FMU that came with the JRSC. Would it work? and exactly where do i hook up the lines to on the TB and the supercharger?

Re: check valves for a gSR? JRSC not turbo
Your map is probably on the throttle body. The check valves would go between the two.
So you will have to get a plate with a nipple on the tb. Are you getting a cel? The map on the tb is not on the boosted side of the blower. You might want to dl the install instructions for the jrsc to figure out the lines. |
Re: check valves for a gSR? JRSC not turbo
im not throwing a CEL yet but my car is bogging like crazy which i assume is becuz i dont have a missing link/check valves

Re: check valves for a gSR? JRSC not turbo
Doubtful, check valves only prevent your map from seeing positive pressure. If you aren't getting a CEL, your map isn't seeing positive pressure.

the owner b4 me said a CEL appeared but it went away, so i dont know but its acting up like i need a missing link or w/e.. In every gear or so wen i give it gas it boggs then like it goes , like the motor dumped alot of fuel in. And thats what people have been saying that a missing link/checkvalves will temporary fix PLUS im running a FMU. im very frustrated i see a MAP sensor thingy plug, its black with assy, MAP on it with 2 screws plugged to the TB then theirs 2 nipples with hoses already running off them

Read the directions like whiterice said before you make assumptions like you are doing now. And before you make another post.

Re: check valves for a gSR? JRSC not turbo
i have read the directions i have a damn packet in my hand. Whatever though i changed to some 310cc injectors off a h22. Running a little smoother. But im still bogging when i try to give it gas while driving normally around town.

any smoke gassing it? during bogging?

nope no smoke while bogging ???

"While the engine is warmed up, reset the ignition timing to 10° BTDC for 93 octane fuel, 7° BTDC for 92 octane fuel."

This, like the thermostat, will lower the combustion chamber temperature allowing better power and less chance of detonation in hot climates." __________ Were you running stock GSR injectors before? Are you running a pulley upgrade? What are your spark plugs gapped to? |
Re: check valves for a gSR? JRSC not turbo
before i was running stock injectors and i checked the timing it was the 14btc tick mark how exactly do i retard the timing accurately to 10*BTDC? since their is only 3 tick marks i see on the crank pulley well now iim gonna also check my TPS and IAC tommorrow see if that could be causing the problemhttp://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/t...ics/timing.jpg

Are you sure you have their gay ass fuel enrichment relay hooked up correctly. You might try checking that circuit out to make sire itis functioning properly.

Re: check valves for a gSR? JRSC not turbo
Install a turbo and ditch the gay supercharger...

when you turn the timing light back to 0 it should be the space of 2 notches past the 14 mark. i hope i got that right. i'm really tired. |

What is your fuel pressure set at? I had the same problem and after I installed a FPR and Fuel pressure gauge and fine tuned the fuel pressure it ran fine, just a suggestion.
