That turbo is great for a small engine for the street. Other than that its very small. Don't expect to make big power with it but it will should have a really quick spool.

I also thought a t25 was the same size as what's on the 2nd gen DSM's?

even though it's brand new, why would anyone spend that much money for a T2.
maybe if you had a grand am or sunbird.

Go to the junkyard and rip the turbo off of a chrysler 2.2l turbo'd car, there are a bunch of em and should only cost you like $50-$75, its a teo4h and sometimes you can find them in real good shape, not new but about the same size and for alot less money.

it's of course an excellent turbo because it's a real garrett turbocharger however it's a very small T25 turbo.
THey say it's good for 250 HP but that's gonna max it out and that's when they fail.
as opposed to T3'S, These turbos are prone to severe failures involving broken shaft and chewed up wheels.
It's important to remember that these turbos can be rebuilt with new bearings and stuff if need be but replacement wheels, housings and shafts are NO LONGER available from garrett so if you blow it bad, you may get screwed.

The cars equipped with that T25 turbo from the factory were making around 165 HP. So if your "performance" project is under 200HP BOOSTED, you can maybe use it with excellent reliability.
However, (god damn, i hope it's the case), if you are shooting for over 200 HP boosted, you should get a plain T3 turbo that is easily rebuildable and upgradeable and won't be maxed out

Good luck (do it right)

Just ordered the T25.
Well for my little 1.5 hyundai I guess it'll be more than enough. Unfortunatelly I don't have the love of my life b16a2 engine.. crap.. so I'm shooting for 150-170 hp tops and I'll be a happy man with it till I raise some money to buy a Civic Type R... till then the bov blows and the hyundai goes... (Well sort of..) Anyway I still have my '82 civic so I'm a honda guy (sort of, again)

Oh by the way, I wish I could have access to junkyards as you but I can't because I live in Greece and it's really tough country to find these stuff. For example? T25 brand new $700. I say screw those thieves and I preffer Ebay...
Thanks guys

agree with man 2 steps above...

too pricy!

look for a t3 turbo...great size for 4 bangers, and check the efficiency charts too.

t25 too tiny for 2.1L and up IMO
