check engine light came on? (#43 O2 sensor)
Ok ,the first time it came on I just got out of a boost in 1st gear, I turned off the engine and restarted it and it went away, today I was out on the highway cruising about 65-70 and the light came on, and then again coing back from church on the highway it came on again, not under any boost. Any ideas. I'm running...d16, t25, afc, 450, running very rich lo-34% and hi -35%. I'm taking it over to get it tuned on wednesday, about 1 1/2 hr (highway driving), do you think it's safe to drive over there, or should I find a trailer?

I got money saying its the map sensor.. Does the car run like ---- when the CEL triggers? But then when you turn the car off and start it back up its fine?

Re:check engine light came on???
just post what # code youre getting, alot of people on here know them by heart
edit: under the passenger side carpet at the glove box youll find your ecu and you have to jump out the small plug thats hanging there with a paper clip or something and then turn the ignition to "on" and count the # of times the cel blinks

Re:check engine light came on???
jump (connect) the service plug (or whatever it's called) with a short piece of wire or paper clip, then turn the ignition to the 'acc.' position, you cel will start flashing, long flashes represent 10's, and short flashes represent 1's, if you're throwing more than one code, there will be a long(er) pause between the next set of flashes. i.e., two long flashes =20, then 4 short flashes =4, that would mean code 24, which i believe is the ks or some ----. if we knew the code, we could tell you how to fix it, it coule be 100+ different things, but for some reason i'm feeling the map sensor or o2 too.
