Re:cheapest charge pipes?
rubber hoses, pipes, exhaust pieces, misc ---- you find or barrow...i dont like this setup though, it looks ghetto, but it works...
go to the junkyard and find some turbo cars can take all the charge piping, lots of people leave that ----... |
Re:cheapest charge pipes?
Nothing wrong with ghetto, I like to referr to it as uniqueness, or alternative engineering :)

Re:cheapest charge pipes?
ABS piping.
|
Re:cheapest charge pipes?
I used abs pipings and elbow for my charge pipes. It's cheap, easy to cut, and easy to get it where you want it to go. I had abs pipes from my t3/t4 turbo to my intercooler to my intake. It held 10psi of boost and didn't melt.

Re:cheapest charge pipes?
you could go buy a few peices of flex pipe. you could do them all for about $40
|
Re:cheapest charge pipes?
OK, this is going to sound stupid.. what is ASB pipe, and where does one aquire it? ::)
|
Re:cheapest charge pipes?
asb? ??? Abs is like pvc...Hard plastic.. www.homedepot.com go to plumbing section.
|
Re:cheapest charge pipes?
its black pipe. there is solid wall and foam core. i suggest the solid wall because its stronger and has a lower melting point.
also. u need under hood temps in the range of 300 F for this stuff to melt and give off any fumes. everyone on the board is always like "dont use plastic it melts and gets you high in you car" lol so untrue. |
Re:cheapest charge pipes?
plastic is gay... ::)

Re:cheapest charge pipes?
you could steal a hose from your local fire dept. and use that it would be super simple just hose clamp it on let it lay limp then under boost it gets hard(heh)
Beau By the way that was a big joke just use some exhaust pipes with rubber connections. |

Re:cheapest charge pipes?
Mounting the 1g DSM IC in the fender well? Like int he stock place that it was on the DSM? Hrm, I couldn't find a way to make it fit.
|
Re:cheapest charge pipes?
i did it just have to cut some stuff but it will fit, used a hacksaw, industrial tin snips, dremel tool, grinder, just about every cutting tool, wish i had a cutting torch...but it will fit, most definetly, just put ur mind to it, and keep working at it...
