well i can start by saying i officially put together a kit for under $500 with a legit turbo (from a buddy) and the rest is ebay stuff o ya except my wastegate is not cheap i had it from my 98 gsr turbo build (she runs sooo nice ) $200 is a start and you can just start buying stuff part by part and soon enough you will be ready to install and tune. my kit has a cast manifold local shop (mandrel bend) DP intercooler turbo wastegate blow off valve oil feed and drain and a restrictor plate for feed line and sandwich for tap in back of block at oil pressure sensor piping i got from a friend and a vortec FPR for now. in two weeks i will have a Greddy proc spec B boost controler and AEM FIC and wideband A/F i already have a spoon chipped(legit no ebay crap) ECU hat was a pretty penny. this all is going in my OBD0 90 teg so a cheap kit is possible but like they all said its comes far a few in between ma man. i would scavenge craigslist all over te country and see if people will accept pay pal or somehing. if your are looking at spending the least amount of money possible, i would say to look into getting atleast a side mount intercooler off of and eclipse/talon. or even the twin turbo cars like a 300zx or 3000gt vr-4. i have seen them for as cheap as $50. just a suggestion. good luck with your build.
