I have that exact bov on my civic and it is mighty loud. I got it for free and I like it. If you are going for sound, than go for it. If you're going sleeper, look elsewhere.

also... i've seen these on websites going in the $150-$160 range, so you're by no means getting ripped.

there's an easy way around that you know.. put the BOV between the IC and the MAF

I also have that BOV. I didnt think it was too loud though (but then again I have never heard another BOV). The spring is a litle harsh for what I was running (8psi). It chattered when it blew, which to my knowledge means that it isnt opening all the way. I ended up taking the spring out and cutting a turn and a half off of it. Now (not screwed in tightly) I get a nice calm BOV whoosh. I am thinking of tightening it a bit to see if it makes it a little crisper.

Mines chattered too when I had it teed with my evap crap... I ended up just connecting it straight to the manifold (for other reasons) and it stopped... I kinda liked that noise though

It was a cool noise, just not the one I wanted to hear. I called it the rattlesnake ;D

youre right sohcrxsi...but a lot of people do it without big problems

and by chatter, do you guys mean backspool, where the bov is too tight and doesnt blow off? because thats how i would describe that sound
