Default charge pipe to big?

my brother told me to run the same size pipe as the turbo outlet to the intercooler then go bigger on the outlet side..well i didnt listen to him of course but now im thinking hes right? i used 2.5 mandrel piping to do my charge lines and it seems to be a bit to big..i used to run a saab turbo with 2.0" lines now i stepped up to a turbonetics t3 super sixty and went with 2.5 all the way..it doesnt boost nearly as fast but comes on hard around 4,4500..used to come on around 3,5 should i change my charge line from the turbo to the intercooler to 2.0" therefore it will pressurize faster and spool quicker? i also managed to sqeeze a full mandrel 3" downpipe to a 3" cat and exhaust..with A/C im thinking the charge pipe size is where i went wrong?

i woudlnt worry about it, ---- we used 2.5 charge pipes on small *** T25's and RHb5's no problems... THe super60 is a rather large T3, that is why its taking longer to spool.

hes running this crappy beat up GTI with a rear spoiler that looks like it came off a US airways AIRBUS..and a set of those 15" five stars that where way so popular in the late 80's..usually you can find him hanging out at Wendys eating junior bacon cheesburgers and wearing his members only jacket!

i dont see the sense in running bigger pipe then your TB size. i mean if you go 3" all the wat from fmic to TB. it still has to slow down and get through the 2" TB..
